17th & 18th May 2025

welcome
Supercarfest_the_RUNWAY_logo.png

Our flagship event returns to Sywell Aerodrome for the 5th year, now well established as one of the major dynamic supercar events on the UK Calendar. As always expect more supercars, more action, better viewing and, of course, the First Point Hypercar Zone.

The Runway event will see top speeds recorded along the 1km straight and displayed on the giant screen in front of the main grandstand situated by the start line. In 2024 the amazing Lotus Evija hit the 212mph which is going to be a hard one to beat!

There is plenty more happening over the two days with great viewing into the Supercar Paddock where you can meet the owners and there are also specialist cars added to the mix including some classics. There's a number of invited Car Clubs as well as a Supercar dealers and manufacturers and be sure to check out the interactive exhibitor stands. Our food court sells a variety of local produce from the food trucks.

Iconic Auctioneers are back with their famous ‘May Sale’ with a huge eclectic mix of interesting cars and automobilia from all eras.

2024 Runway Highlights

THE VENUE

SYWELL AERODROME

Sywell Aerodrome opened in 1928 as a grass strip for the emerging private aircraft craze. During the 2nd World War it became RAF Sywell and was used for training pilots using Tiger Moths and it also became a repair centre for Wellington bombers. The venue was used for the 1969 film Battle of Britain featuring Michael Caine. In 2007 the venue was granted permission to install a concrete runway which was completed in 2009. And this runway will be forming an exciting part of the ‘side by side’ demonstrations at Supercar Fest in May.
